Joint Application Development Methodologies
Track: Application Development
Author(s): John Dirkman

Joint Application Development (JAD) is a management process used by GIS solution providers and clients to develop information technology solutions. The JAD process can be used to identify project scope and monitor project progress. Proper use of JAD helps to ensure that project requirements are fully defined and enterprise work flows are streamlined for successful product implementation. JAD often results in a dramatic reduction in the project schedule and cost. This presentation will cover the roles of JAD participants and the JAD methodology. The presenter will also discuss benefits that result from the proper use of JAD, providing specific project examples.
