Abstract
Putting It All Together in Rowan County

Integrating systems within an organization allows for better information and results in better decisions. Rowan County, North Carolina, was looking for a way to take its current tax system and combine it with its newer ArcInfo GIS. The goal was to eliminate the current manual process of updating tax record attributes. With the move to ArcInfo, Rowan County, in partnership with ASI, developed an application to integrate its GIS data and tax system data. This presentation will give an overview of the Rowan County project, the value of the Esri data and will discuss the benefits and challenges involved with this type of project.
