Abstract

Successful GIS Communities Through Cooperative Efforts
Track: State and Local Government
Author(s): Susan Henderson, John Hunt, Drew Decker

GIS technology can be expensive, complex, and time-consuming. Pooling efforts through the formation of consortia can significantly reduce these obstacles. A panel from multiple states will share their experiences and creative solutions to difficult issues through cooperative efforts. It is through these efforts that successful GIS communities are being forged.
