Using Web-Enabling Modules and GIS to Improve Outage Response

Today's electric consumers demand faster outage restoration than ever before, and Web-enabling modules using Esri Software-based outage management applications deliver. By accessing OMS applications via Web-browser, additional internal and remote personnel can assist in all areas of outage response including call center management, crew dispatch, and outage analysis. Connections to the utility network are fully secured but allow authorized personnel to access applications and information from any location where network access is available. For on-site employees, Web-enabling means being able to access applications from any enterprise PC with browser access. For remote employees, Web access lets them access up-to-date information in the field--anytime, anywhere.
