Abstract
Implementing Geodatabase for Military Installation Management
Track: Defense and Intelligence

This presentation will draw on the experience of Air Force, Marine, and Navy bases migrating into the Spatial Database Standards (SDS) Geodatabase Object Model. This paper will cover creating the object model structure with ArcBuild (U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Geodatabase Generator); and utilizing batch procedures for data migration. Most Esri users are aware of the power of the geodatabase: large file management, true multiuser editing, and intelligent GeoObjects. This presentation will conclude with a demonstration of a fully developed SDS geodatabase.
