Abstract
Ground Truthing Tract-level Population Projections
Track: Census and Geo-Demographics

The California statewide transportation planning process requires census tract-level population projections to the years 2015 and 2025. This paper describes the process of assembling tract projections from a variety of sources, and then ground truthing them for validity using ArcView and various GIS datasets.
