Enterprise GIS in Oakville: Bringing It All Together

New and exciting GIS applications have been introduced into the Municipality. Explore Oakville, a Web-based application, delivers mapping and information requests to the public and town staff. The Data Warehouse provides a user-friendly interface and robust backend to facilitate such things as queries, mapping and notifications. InstaMap allows the public to publish town-based maps and the GIS Portal puts GIS at everyone's fingertips. Oakville's GIS based applications are integrating datasets in ways once unimaginable. Oakville is bringing it all together with its Enterprise GIS vision! This paper will show how these tools fit together to create our Enterprise GIS.
