Abstract

Photolog Adjustment Application in Visual Basic 6 for ArcInfo
Track: Application Development
Author(s): Mike Shasko, Scott Ritchie

This application has been developed to further adjust the locations of digital images (photolog) taken along roads to the actual road location by viewing and 'rubbersheeting' the images on the fly. A Visual Basic 6 GUI was developed to integrate the image environment within the ArcInfo 8.1 edit environment. The project was developed for the BC Ministry of Transportation out of Victoria, British Columbia. While its application is specific to the photolog, the underling Visual Basic 6/ArcInfo coding and integration techniques have a much wider appeal. Extending the geometric and processing abilities of ArcInfo via Visual Basic 6 is the primary interest of this paper/presentation.
