By maintaining an Internet-based Integrated Land Management Plan, Cargill Fertilizer in Florida is leading the online review and approval process. Habitat restoration projects are described and mapped at www.cargill-neb.com. Regulatory agencies and the public review and comment online for permit compliance. The Web site was jointly designed by Cargill, Holland and Knight Consulting, and PBS&J Information Solutions Division. PBS&J developed the database-driven website with online comments, PIN-based electronic signatures, and ArcIMS mapping. ArcIMS now meets what in the past were custom map requests from regulatory agencies. Cargill's bold initiative received an Award of Excellence from the Council for Sustainable Florida.
