Abstract
GIS: Case Studies in Construction Management

GIS is a powerful tool, well suited to integrate the complexity of large-scale construction projects. It has the added benefit of visual presentation of management data, presently lacking in traditional construction management. Integrating information such as project schedules, CAD drawings, and project documents allows for a visual understanding of the construction process. The purpose of this paper is to present various projects, including recent work with Disney Imagineering, showing how ArcGIS integrates with project management tools (such as Primavera and Microsoft Project).
