2004 UC Proceedings Abstract
A Web-Based Support Tool for the Apalachicola River Track: Environmental Management Author(s): Dean Jue Florida State University (FSU) has received a grant from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) to develop a comprehensive, GIS- and Web-based information clearinghouse and decision support tool for the Apalachicola River and Bay watershed in Florida. The Web site is accessible to the general public as well as to local, regional, state, and federal policymakers. This project began in August 2003 and is funded through July 2005. This paper will discuss the progress to date and identify successful strategies as well as pitfalls to avoid for other agencies planning projects of a similar scope.
