 The Power and Evolution of GIS in Lucas County Track: State and Local Government Author(s): Randy Schardt, Brian Sovik Lucas County, Ohio has developed a state of the art Geographic Information System and has been a role model for many years. The development of the system in the early years has taught some valuable lessons, and Esri technology has been at the core of Lucas County's success. Today Lucas County is still on the forefront with advanced Internet, intranet, and touch screen GIS accessibility as well as some truly progressive utilities of spatial information.
