Development of a GIS for a Water Distribution Network
Track: Education
Author(s): Petya Maneva

Facilities Management at the University of Redlands needed an integrated information system in order to access accurate and up-to-date data used for utilities network management, troubleshooting, tracking water consumption, making decisions with regard to planned and non-planned repairs. For attaining these goals, a GIS for the Campus Water Distribution Network has been established. This report describes the contents of the water utility geodatabase, the methodology used for its development, and the functions of the water network model.
