C/JMTK Prototyping for Visualization of Weather, LIDAR, and Aircraft Routes Track: Defense and Intelligence Author(s): Chetan Desai NGA's acquisition of Commercial Joint Mapping Toolkit (C/JMTK) has resulted in several early prototyping efforts throughout the DoD to support migration from JMTK as well as new application development. This presentation will describe the lessons learned from the implementation of several C/JMTK prototypes for diverse domains and applications. The prototypes rely on Esri's ArcObjects which provide the core capabilities for C/JMTK including geospatial visualization. The presentation will discuss prototypes that provide visualization of 2D/3D/animated routes for aircraft mission planning, USAF weather forecasts; information disseminated by various DoD systems including TBMCS through Web services; and large LIDAR point cloud datasets. The prototypes sought to evaluate the flexibility and performance of the toolkit for integration with existing DoD systems, data sources, and applications. Chetan Desai ProLogic, Inc.
