Abstract
Mission Mountain Buffer Zone Fire Prediction Track: Ecology and Conservation Author(s): Ignatius Stiffarm Using satellite imagery, the author's goal was to try to predict from previous fire data and vegetation indexes from the local area, if and when a fire might happen in the Buffer Zone on the Flathead Reservation. Most of the information pointed to a good possibility that a fire will occur within a ten year period from the start of the project. The author worked on this during an internship at NASA Goddard.
