Understanding Mystery Conflicts Track: Electric and Gas Author(s): Chuck Horne In the enterprise ArcGIS editing environment, conflicts recognized during Reconcile require either user intervention via the conflicts dialog or a customized solution. Sometimes the dialog results are puzzling: conflict features may display no apparent value conflict, or the conflicting features are far from the area where the user's explicit editing took place. This paper will catalog and analyze the frequency and characteristics of these and other "mystery conflicts" and explore potential relevant strategies and implications.
