Abstract
Standardization of Analytical Work from From Dynamic Incident Tracking Track: Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice Author(s): Scott Crossney The GIS capabilities of the New Jersey State Police have been significantly enhanced through the development of automated data sources. This automation, through the use of ArcSDE, has allowed the NJSP to retrieve up-to-date information from a myriad of disparate database systems. Now, attention has shifted to the standardization of analytical work flows. By integrating these dynamic data sources with geoprocessing models, the NJSP hopes to standardize work flows and GIS analysis methodologies. It is expected that this study will demonstrate progression in analytical standardization, reductions in project time expenditures, and the advancement of analytical products.
