Abstract
Merging and Managing Corporate GIS Systems Track: System Implementation for GIS Author(s): Chucks Bisike-Ojiako, Bart Hulshof Shell EP Europe has aligned three separate corporate GIS systems and GIS support teams into one common framework, with harmonized layer management and support across multiple locations. The presentation will highlight the technical and organizational steps taken to provide and support a cross-border GIS environment and also outline some of the remaining challenges. The focus is on maintaining GIS layer integrity, GIS project management (local and corporate), and final map storage.
