Web GIS Tools for the Middle Rio Grande Bosque Study
Track: Ecology and Conservation
Author(s): John Peterson

The Middle Rio Grande Bosque is a riparian woodland area, which provides critical habitat for a number of species of wildlife, including endangered species in the region. The bosque in this reach is also a critical open space in the heart of New Mexico's urban center. The Middle Rio Grande Bosque Study is an Army Corps of Engineers project to study and make recommendations for ecosystem restoration in the vicinity of Albuquerque, New Mexico. Already recognized by the National Society of Landscape Architects as an award winning planning effort, the development of tools for making spatial information available to Corps personnel and the many stakeholders involved continues to be part of this important and high profile project. Esri products have played the primary role in map compilation and geospatial data dissemination. This presentation will describe and demonstrate newly developed Web tools for delivering data to Corps personnel and stakeholders (see http://www.bosquerevive.com/).
