Abstract
Fort Worth's Asset Management Solution, Maintenance Management Integration with GIS Track: Water, Wastewater, and Stormwater Author(s): Randy Rinon, Timothy Gallagher Like many utilities throughout the world, the Fort Worth Water Department is investing in advanced technology to better manage its assets and operations. The City's asset management solution will consist of ArcGIS integrated with MRO MAXIMO CMMS and PeopleSoft CRM. A common asset register will maintain consistent asset definition and minimize data duplication across the systems. The solution will initially enable the City to map work orders, based on customer accounts and proximity analysis. The second phase of implementation will allow operations staff to associate work orders to the specific assets and asset group that are being repaired, maintained, or replaced based on the common asset register. With this system in place, the City will be able to perform significantly enhanced analysis on the performance of their water and wastewater assets.
