Conversion of Water Utility System from GeoMax to ArcGIS
Track: Water, Wastewater, and Stormwater
Author(s): Nancy Hickman, Joseph Gautsch, Haritha Vendra

The Vista Irrigation District, CA, has been using the GeoMax GIS for many years and recently decided on switching over to ArcGIS for their GIS needs. Additionally, the District has decided to use the industry standard Enterprise Geodatabase as the format they will use. DCSE has been assisting the District in the process. The paper will explain why the District decided to switch over to ArcGIS after years of using GeoMax. It will also detail some of the challenges faced in the conversion of the GeoMax Data to GIS and replication of the tools found in GeoMax for the ArcGIS interface.
