Legacy to Enterprise GIS Track: State and Local Government Author(s): William Tharp, Gabriel Carballo In the next three years, the City of Miami is going to deploy several enterprise systems, including ERP, Computer-Aided Dispatch for Police and Fire Departments, Land Use Compliance System, Code Enforcement, Asset Management Systems, and others. End-to-end business process re-engineering is under way to ensure that these systems are used at their full potential. GIS is an integral part of their strategy, and it will impact every other system. This presentation will discuss some of the unique elements of their Enterprise GIS approach.
