Exploring Crime Patterns at Activity Centers
Track: Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice
Author(s): Gina Misch, Dennis Larson

Crime patterns at activity centers (i.e. mall, trolley stop, park, public school, etc.) will be explored by using a variety of methods, with an emphasis on Exploratory Spatial Data Analysis (ESDA) and visualization techniques. The application of spatial analytical tools and methods will help to evaluate patterns and clusters of crime. The best methods to use at different activity centers will also be discussed.
