Abstract
Analysis and Modelling of Global Landslide Risk Hotspots with ArcGIS Track: Modeling Author(s): Ramez Rafat We (NGI/ICG) have been finishing a big global analysis project called "Identification of Global Natural Disaster Hotspots (HotSpot)". We have been analysing, modelling and have done final mapping of the global HotSpot regarding landslides and avalanches globally. Heavy use of GIS, global geodata, new landslide models, and system development have been used to complete this project. The results turned out to be good. We have performed six regional case studies after the HotSpot project, which have developed further the models, data and methods used in the global project. The main emphasis for the presentation will be on the use of GIS-systems, global geodata, and global models for these kind of analysis.
