Abstract
NGA Support for Darfur Crisis Track: Defense and Intelligence Author(s): David Springer NGA, in collaboration with State Department's Humanitarian Information Unit, developed a Darfur Atlas using ArcGIS software and DigitalGlobe imagery for use as a field tool. The 10-page Atlas was used by United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and non-government organizations (NGOs) to pinpoint conflict areas and was used for general navigation in the field. Commercial satellite imagery was used to create hi-resolution image maps of refugee camps and destroyed villages.
