C/JMTK Migration--C2PC Case Study Track: Defense and Intelligence Author(s): Michael Azar The Command Control Personal Computer (C2PC) mission application has been working over the last year to migrate to C/JMTK for its geospatial visualization. This effort has been a multi-phased approach. The first phase was to embed C/JMTK technology into their existing application in order to render GIS data types not currently supported by the C2PC technology. This phase allowed some research and development of best practice ideas on how to best integrate the GIS technology into C2PC technology. The second phase was to swap out the underlying rendering engine to use C/JMTK technology to render all supported data types. The third and final phase was to provide a framework for existing GIS extension technology to fit within the C2PC application framework. This presentation will discuss the migration approach, the challenges involved, and lessons learned.
