Abstract
Modeling Cougars With Agent Analyst Track: Application Development Author(s): Nick Collier As the population of humans grows in and around Flagstaff, AZ, there are more encounters between cougars and humans. The cougar model uses an agent-based modeling approach in conjunction with the Agent Analyst ArcGIS extension to explore the growing problem. This paper will focus on the initial cougar model, primarily focusing on how cougar movement is translated into an agent-based model and how this translation is expressed in Agent Analyst.
