Abstract
GIS to Improve the Management of Water Distribution Facilities Track: Water, Wastewater, and Stormwater Author(s): Victor Graves, Jodi Luostarinen The San Dieguito Water District has recently implemented a fully functional GIS system to replace its hard-copy paper CAD drawings. This presentation will describe the process the district used to advance into the world of GIS, what it took to make the program succeed, and what benefits it has gained. A significant portion of the presentation will include a live demonstration of the district's GIS (Using Esri's ArcGIS) and Workorder System (Azteca System's Cityworks).
