Abstract
Los Angeles Fire Department Incident Mapping Track: EMS/Fire Author(s): Steven Robinson My name is Steven Robinson, and I am a helicopter pilot with the Los Angeles City Fire Department. I have been working closely with Esri and HP for several years now and would like to share examples of how the LAFD is harnessing GIS to provide the "Common Operational Picture" to incident commanders and city leaders. This work would include emergency incidents along with reoccurring venues. Examples of this work would include the Topanga Fire '05; Academy Awards '04, '05, and '06; the Grammy's '05; and the Simi Valley Fire '03. These are just some of the examples of the work that has been done with the LAFD that I would like to share with others at the user conference.
