Abstract
Benefits of ArcWeb Services for Swiss Reinsurance Company Track: Business GIS Author(s): Cornelia Schmidt, Ralph Koglin The demand for detailed data for risk analysis is constantly increasing in the re/insurance business. To better meet this demand Swiss Re has introduced ArcWeb Services in December 2004. Currently the company uses U.S. street-level geocoding and applies the obtained coordinates for a lookup on a detailed flood layer hosted by Esri. It is planned to expand street address geocoding for important re/insurance markets to improve the risk assessment of different types of risks. The presentation will focus on use, benefits and future extensions of ArcWeb Services.
