 Performance Measurements and Web Services for the U.S. Army's BCCS Track: Defense and Intelligence Author(s): Edgar Shrum This paper will first provide the results of an extensive program of performance measurements on the Esri-based Commercial Joint Mapping Toolkit (C/JMTK) and the ArcGIS Military Analyst with Military Overlay Editor (MOLE). These results include . Low level tests comparing the speed and memory utilization of - MOLE renderers vs. MCS renderers - Esri objects vs. .NET GDI+ objects . Latency tests for satellite networks . MOLE symbol conformance with standards This paper will also provide details on the implementation of common GIS Web services built on Esri products that will be provided as part of a service-oriented architecture for the new Battle Command Common Systems.
