Establishing and Implementing a Metadata Policy for Your Organization Track: Metadata and Data Publishing Author(s): John Farley, Dana Nibby Everyone knows metadata is good for you, but few take the time to create it. Standards can be intimidating, tools unfamiliar, and there always seem to be more pressing tasks to accomplish. The North Carolina Department of Transportation has made an organizational commitment to metadata creation using an incremental, policy-based approach.
