Main Objectives of the Oil Transportation Network Developing
Track: Petroleum
Author(s): Mikhail Grigoriev, Elena Sokolova

The spatial patterns of oil production and transportation dynamics in areas of development and operations are regulated by several objectives. The main objectives are the production level and oil quality maintenance on the oil(-pipeline) terminals. To that conclusion we come after studying of public domain data that are related to the offshore activities at national sectors in Northern and Norwegian seas. We use GIS technology to reference all the data to common GCS and then trace the oil flow from fields to onshore terminals where the well-known oil sorts such as Brent are defined. During the time of area developing the operational infrastructure was installed separately according to oil quality. The same patterns are developing in the Russian Northern-West Arctic where we have fined out the oil production centers with offshore removal.
