Abstract
Environmental Impact Assessment Database Construction Track: Environmental Management Author(s): Sang Hun Hong The Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) based on the concept of ESSD (Environmentally Sound & Sustainable Development) is to find and evaluate effects on environment during developing an area. In the process of implementing EIA, there will be so many reports of EIA. The assessment basis and analysis methodology will be required in EIA simultaneously. A system digitalizes a lot of databases for EIA, and approaches to meet the requirements as above. As many of data in the system are provided to business planner, operator of the assessment, and account official, the system shows the improvement in services to the public, as well as potential abilities to improve efficiency of creating, reviewing, and evaluating EIA reports. There are many kinds of applications in the system. One of the important applications is a Web-based GIS displaying various geographic data. The Web-based GIS includes analysis methodology recognized by government and the public.
