StreamStats ArcGIS Server Application: A More Efficient Web Solution
Track: Water Resources
Author(s): John Guthrie

The Streamstats development team, which includes both federal and Esri personnel, has developed a new solution for disseminating Streamstats information across the World Wide Web. The current ArcIMS/ArcMap implementation of Streamstats has proven to be a useful Web-based tool that allows users to obtain streamflow statistics, drainage-basin characteristics, and other information for user-selected ungaged sites on streams. The new approach, based on ArcGIS Server technology, offers some distinct advantages, including easier system administration and enhanced user interface capabilities. This presentation will discuss the fundamentals and advantages of an ArcGIS Server solution from a developer's perspective.
