Abstract

CWMD Leverages ArcGIS Server for Treatment Plant Maintenance Management System
Track: Water, Wastewater, and Stormwater
Author(s): Eric Bergh, Rami Naber

Calleguas Municipal Water District (CMWD) is Southern California's 4th largest wholesale water utility. Leveraging Esri’s ArcGIS Server technology, CMWD has embarked on the use of Web GIS to manage field personnel and maintain geographically distributed infrastructure.

Successfully integrating GIS facility data with their work management system via a common Web-based interface, Calleguas looked to make a major step toward leveraging web technologies to improve in-plant service and maintenance efficiencies. Utilizing the same technology platform, in-plant operations and maintenance personnel have been provided with the ability to schedule, monitor, and manage preventative and corrective maintenance tasks on hundreds of components throughout the treatment plant.

This presentation will discuss the overall project vision and goals, implementation process, functionality and lessons learned.
