For years ArcGIS has been an integral part of the computing infrastructure at the Cucamonga Valley Water District (CVWD). In an effort to continually improve customer service, CVWD has integrated several enterprise information systems with ArcGIS. Systems integrated with ArcGIS include Cityworks, Azteca Systems' GIS-centric computerized maintenance management system (CMMS), infraMap, iWater's map-based utility infrastructure management solution for field inspection and work management, financials, timekeeping, SCADA, and underground service alert. These systems have been integrated and deployed to meet the District's specific needs for all personnel from administrative and office personnel to field crews and emergency responders. The guiding principle has been to put the right information in the right hands at the right time in order to provide the best possible service to the Districts customers. This presentation will provide insights into how this solution has been deployed, and the lessons learned in the process.
