Data Collection Using a Real Time GPS Network
Track: Surveying
Author(s): Sean Fernandez

The State of Utah has developed a statewide GPS Network to help improve the quality of survey and geospacial data. The system has greatly enhanced the Public Land Survey System and allowed many GIS users to collect and re-find utilities through real time mapping grade stakeouts. Post processing data using the network improves mapping grade data accuracy. This discussion will include our experience in setting up and using this system.
