AbstractSDSFIE 3.0: From Pilot Studies to Official ReleaseTrack: Defense and Intelligence Author In 2010, the Spatial Data Standard for Facilities, Infrastructure, and Environment (SDSFIE) Version 3.0 is to be released for full use by the DoD IGI&S Community. This presentation will review the new Release 3.0; to include the Data Model and how the Esri user is best supported; and the suite of SDSFIE Release tools available to all DOD users via the web (www.sdsfie.org). In addition, a series of Pilot Studies were conducted using a Beta version of the SDSFIE 3.0 in order to finalize the model for Official Release. This presentation will highlight those Pilot Studies, discuss the importance of those activities towards the final Release, and provide some lessons learned.
