Track: Water, Wastewater, and Storm Water
Authors: Tian Xia, Jianrong Zhang

How to efficiently manage the sewer capacity certification requested by the building permit application?
This tool improved legacy sewer lines tracking process which was manual, paper-based, text-driven and time-consuming. It provided sewer capacity certification analysts a web-based interface to track, locate and manage manholes, sewer lines across city of Atlanta, help them determine whether or not there is adequate wastewater treatment and sewer capacity before authorizing a new flow and sewer service connection requested by the building permit application. This is a substantial reduction in time, data entry error and resources from the past. Analysts can also export an accurate PDF report showing overflow manholes, capacity restricted pipes and tracking result.

ArcInfo, ArcGIS Server, Google Maps API(Geocode service), ArcSDE, Oracle 10g database and ASP.Net / C## are the technology used for implementing and deploying our applications.
