AbstractCentralized GIS system in PLINACRO gas transmission companyTrack: System Implementation for GIS Author GIS in Plinacro Ltd. company is a part of several IT systems and it is a central management system for the technical and technological divisions of the company. It enables continuous support in project development, beginning with planning and system design phase, through build up phase up to final commissioning as well as during the commercial operation of the pipeline. GIS enables organization, presentation and analyses of spatial data that contain all information about the gas transmission pipeline system (pipelines, facilities, etc.) and also supports collaboration with all other information systems in the company: information system for "Legal property rights", technical-technological, business and financial information systems. All these IT systems are autonomous but they are integrated through common identifiers (spatial data) what consequently leads to one complex corporate IT system. The result of integration is unified, reliable, quick data monitoring and reporting, and systematic monitoring of the company's assets register.
