Application of GIS for monitoring Maintenance Activities KAU Campus

e-Maintenance is a maintenance management concept where maintenance tasks are managed electronically using real time equipment data obtained over the Internet. It introduces an unprecedented level of transparency and efficiency into the entire industry. Real time remote monitoring of equipment status coupled with programmable alerts enable the maintenance operator to respond to any situation swiftly, thereby enhancing system availability

The major goal of this topic is to study the application of Geographic Information System such as Computerized Maintenance Management System and Building Information System to support e-Maintenance routine activities inside the University campuses of GCC countries.
The proposed study of location is provide a brief idea to know how these universities are using GIS applications to enhance their maintenance working environment.
