Abstract

Missouri River Basin Interactive Maps
Track: Ecology and Conservation
Authors: Jason Sheeley, Tracy Brown

Restoration and recovery mapping for the Missouri River Recovery Program (MRRP) has been compiled into one centralized web-based GIS application. This application makes data available to the Program, stakeholders, and the public by providing access to aerial photography, public land information, and fish and wildlife mitigation sites. Two mapping views are available, the first providing the user the opportunity to view map data throughout the basin, to perform detailed searches of information, and to print customized maps for their use. The second map view, the Missouri River Historical Map, gives users the ability to visualize the historic Missouri River using the Missouri Rivers Commission's mapping efforts of 1879 and 1894. These interactive maps utilize Esri technology to make available restoration and recovery efforts for the Missouri River basin.
