AbstractYour Backyard: Exploring Your Community with ArcGIS ServerTrack: Metadata and Data Publishing Author As the Regional Planning Agency for our area, Mountainland AOG is responsible for creating and maintaining the latest up-to-date data used by the organization and member agencies. In the past, the data has been for internal use only and has been challenging to share the latest and greatest information with our citizens, elected officials, and consultants. The ArcGIS Server has helped us publish our data for our regular users and is giving us the ability to share the data with many more people in our area. Our goal is to make it possible for the citizens to become more knowledgeable of what is going on around them now and in the future and to participate in the planning process. The website allows users to find and comment on information on all of the planning data, including population projections, transportation projects, community development projects, recreational facilities, and other topics.
