Artistree: Location Based Marketing Application for Local Music

Due to pressures from online music content providers, independently owned record stores are falling off the map and struggling to turn a profit. To increase turnout and sales, a mobile application is developed as a promotion and advetising tool providing record storeowners a better understanding of customer demography, dynamics, and behavior. The application uses a combination of volunteered geographic information (VGI), location based service (LBS), and geo-fencing technologies.
