How to Use Esri’s Map Editor to Integrate Emergency Response Planning

Counties struggle to support residents and local jurisdictions during emergencies due to siloed planning and siloed data storage. Sonoma County utilized ArcGIS Online solutions to develop an editing application, which maintains 20+ attributes; emergency shelters, generators, debris sites, etc. It integrates 58 departments, 9 cities, and 2 special districts. It allows EM staff to identify planning gaps, deconflict facility usages, and informs residents of available resources during emergencies.
