Tracking\Reporting of Multiple Disciplines for a $3.4B Roadway Project Using GIS

The challenge was to manage several disciplines of the project in terms of input, management and display of their data. The key was to create a Master Table of contracts with their schedules, assigned roles and responsibilities. Linking the Master Table to the data opened communication to responsible parties on desktop or in the field. GIS proved to be a valuable tool for different branches to not only manage their data but to see it visually displayed in relation to other disciplines’ data.
