Do you need to build easy-to-use Web-based information systems that allow your users to collect and report useful, high-quality geographic information that flows seamlessly into your back end databases? ArcGIS Server 10 allows you to author authoritative information models in the geodatabase and publish them to Web editors using the new ArcGIS 10 feature service. Get an overview of existing approaches for editing data using ArcGIS Server. Then, walk through the process of authoring and publishing a feature service and the details of the geodatabase information model including types, templates, symbology, relationships, and media attachments. The feature service is stateless and can be used to publish both short transaction and versioned data. We'll also discuss the operations in the service interface and describe how it can be used to build a variety of editing solutions. This session is offered again on Thursday, March 25, from 1:30 pm–2:45 pm in Primrose A.
