Come on down! You're the next contestant on "Build a Secure Application!" Yes, that's right, your chance to shine. You've read the docs, and it all seems sooo simple . . . In this session, you will take a look at an emergency response application built with a remixed version of the Esri JavaScript starter kit that had a number of interesting features—role-based security controlling access to tools as well as local and remote layers. This was all well and good, but things got interesting when Esri was nearly ready to ship the product and discovered that it was being deployed on a server provided by the Department of Homeland Security. Join us for this session, and hear about hard-won secrets that surfaced during this process.
