One perspective on developing ArcGIS Server Flex API applications by utilizing current open source frameworks and best practices. The presentation will start with a tabula rasa and build a Flex application using Test Driven Development, Inversion of Control, and various design patterns. Frameworks that will likely be used are: Cairngorm 2, FlexUnit4, and Spring ActionScript. By the end of the presentation, the viewer should have a good idea of how to use these practices, as well as where to find information about developing with Flex and ArcGIS Server.
